ServicesACA Marketplace Plans
ACA Marketplace Plans in Venice
We help you compare Marketplace plans, estimate the tax credit you may qualify for and enroll in coverage that fits your doctors and budget. Once you're enrolled, we stay in touch so your plan keeps working through income changes, renewals and tax season.

What a Marketplace plan is, and when it makes sense
ACA Marketplace plans are individual and family health plans sold through the federal exchange, HealthCare.gov, which Florida uses. Each one includes the same set of essential health benefits, and no carrier can decline you or charge you more because of a health condition you already have. The real differences sit in the monthly premium, the deductible, which doctors are in network and how the bill is split once you see a provider.
They are often the right choice if you are self-employed, between jobs, retiring early or working somewhere without a group plan. The premium tax credit can lower your monthly cost considerably, depending on your income and family size, and it is only available on Marketplace plans.
We are an independent insurance agency, so we can show plans from several carriers side by side. The consultation carries no fee. Having us review your options won't cost you a cent either, since our pay comes from the insurance company you pick rather than from you.
What our Marketplace help includes
Tax credit estimate
We look at what you expect to earn next year and who belongs on your application, then estimate the premium tax credit you are likely to receive. Getting that number close now keeps tax season from bringing a surprise balance.
Side-by-side plan comparison
Bronze, Silver and Gold plans laid out together with premiums, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums and copays. You see the tradeoffs clearly instead of guessing at them.
Doctor and medication checks
Before you choose, we confirm whether your doctors and preferred hospitals are in network and how your regular medications sit on each plan's drug list.
Application and enrollment
We complete the application with you, answer the verification questions and make sure your first premium is paid so coverage starts on the date you expect.
Follow-up once you're enrolled
We check back once your ID cards arrive, again before open enrollment, and whenever you tell us something has changed. Many Marketplace problems start once coverage begins, not before, so this part matters.
Signs it's time to look at a Marketplace plan
Your employer plan ended
When workplace coverage ends, you generally get a 60-day special enrollment period to choose a new plan. Miss it, and you may wait until the next open enrollment to be covered again.
Your premium jumped at renewal
Plans and tax credits are recalculated every year. Being renewed automatically into the same plan can mean paying more for less when a better fit is available.
You work for yourself
Without a group plan, the Marketplace is often where the strongest value sits once the tax credit is applied.
Your income or family changed
A marriage, a new baby, a move or a change in pay affects both your options and your credit. Reporting it promptly keeps your monthly amount accurate.
You owed money back at tax time
If you had to repay part of your tax credit, your income estimate likely needs a closer look this year.
How enrollment works with us
- 1
A free consultation
First we talk, by phone, by video or at our office, about your doctors, prescriptions, budget and the income you expect.
- 2
Plans compared side by side
We trim the list to a few plans from several carriers and show how each would work in an ordinary year and in a year when you need extra care.
- 3
Enrollment done together
When you decide, we complete the application with you during the call and follow it until it is approved. If the Marketplace asks for documents, like proof of income or residency, we explain on the phone exactly which ones it needs.
- 4
Check-ins once you're covered
We make sure your coverage is active, show you how to use the plan and remind you to report any changes through the year. Ahead of every open enrollment we look at your plan again, so renewing is something you choose, not something that just happens.
What shapes your Marketplace premium
There is no fee for our consultation, so your cost is the premium plus what you pay when you use care. Marketplace prices are set by the carriers under federal rules, and they are the same whether you enroll with us or on your own. These are the factors that move them most.
- Income and tax credit
- Your expected income and family size decide how much premium tax credit you receive. For many clients this is the largest factor in what they actually pay each month.
- Metal tier
- Bronze plans carry lower premiums and higher deductibles. Gold plans cost more each month and less when you use care. Silver plans can include extra cost-sharing reductions at some income levels.
- Age and tobacco use
- Older applicants pay higher base premiums, and carriers can charge more for tobacco use.
- Network type
- HMO and EPO plans with narrower networks usually cost less than plans with wider access. Whether the doctors you see around Venice are included often decides which plan is worth it.
- Who is on the plan
- Each person added changes the premium, and some family members may qualify for other coverage. We run the numbers both ways so you can see the difference.

When can I enroll in an ACA Marketplace plan?
Open enrollment runs each fall into January, with the exact federal dates set every year. Outside that window, you need a change in circumstances that qualifies you, like a move, a marriage, a new child or the end of other coverage. Most of these windows stay open for 60 days from the change, so it helps to call us soon once it happens.
Does it cost more to enroll through an agent?
No. Marketplace premiums are the same whether you enroll with an agent or on your own. Our consultation has no fee, and you never pay us directly; the insurance company you select is the one that compensates us.
What happens if my income changes during the year?
Report it to the Marketplace as soon as you can, and let us know as well. We can help you update your application so your tax credit matches your new income. Leaving it until tax time can mean repaying part of the credit or missing money you were owed.
Can I keep my current doctor?
Often, but it depends on the plan. Networks vary between carriers and even between plans from the same carrier. We check your doctors before you enroll, not once you've already signed up.
Do you only offer Marketplace plans?
No. We also help with individual health insurance outside the Marketplace, family health insurance, and dental, vision and accident coverage. If a Marketplace plan isn't the best fit for you, we'll say so and show you what is.
What does your follow-up actually look like?
Once you enroll, we confirm your coverage started and your ID cards arrived. We check in before open enrollment to review your plan for the coming year. In between, we're a phone call away when something changes or a bill doesn't look right.
